Turbo Exhaust Manifolds

The exhaust manifold collects exhaust pulses and directs them into the turbine housing. It affects spool, flow, heat, reliability and engine bay packaging.

Log manifolds

Log manifolds are compact, strong and often cost-effective. They can work very well for street cars where packaging and durability matter. They may not flow as evenly as a well-designed tubular manifold, but they are not automatically inferior.

Tubular manifolds

Tubular manifolds can improve flow and pulse energy when designed properly. Equal-length runners can help in some builds, but quality, collector design, material and bracing are critical. A poor tubular manifold can crack and perform worse than a basic cast option.

Twin-scroll manifolds

Twin-scroll setups separate exhaust pulses into two groups feeding a divided turbine housing. When matched correctly, they can improve response and reduce pulse interference. The benefits depend on correct cylinder pairing and maintaining separation all the way to the turbine.

Heat management

Turbo manifolds run extremely hot. Heat shielding, ceramic coating, turbo blankets, proper clearances and quality fasteners all protect nearby wiring, hoses, paint and plastic parts.
